Brownie Noser
Mmmm.....who doesn't love brownies? Um....I can't think of a single person! So when MyBlogSpark gave me the chance to test out these yummy brownies from Sam's Club, I couldn't resist!
"With a taste as delicious and authentic as if you baked them at home, Pillsbury Chocolate Chunk Fudge Brownies are a blend of 3 types of cocoas with real chocolate syrup and milk chocolate chunks to make a delicious fudgy brownie—they’re the perfect solution when you’re pressed for time. Add personal flair to these already-baked brownies with your own decorations, frosting, caramel or powdered sugar! With a straight-out-of-the-oven flavor without the time or clean-up, Pillsbury Chocolate Chunk Fudge Brownies are a great treat for any occasion!
In addition, when purchasing Pillsbury Chocolate Chunk Fudge Brownies at Sam’s Club, you have the chance to support your local school with Box Tops for Education. Each package of Pillsbury Chocolate Chunk Fudge Brownies has 6 Bonus Box Tops that can be redeemed to earn cash for the K-8 school of your choice."
They even sent me some decorating tools so I could give my pathetic decorating skills a try - lol! We had a lot of fun with this. Pillsbury and MyBlogSpark provided the frosting, decorating tools and container to keep them in, and also a gift card to go buy the brownies at Sam's! Yum yum!
I wish I could claim this idea as my own, but really, Hubby came up with it; we used cookie cutters to cut out brownies:
Please, hold your applause til the end. I KNOW it's awesome.
Yup, my piping skills RAWK. By the way, that says "Smith Family, End of School". And what do you mean "what is that big pile of white outlined in orange"? Can't you tell those are flip flops??!! Geez, I guess some people can't recognize true art........
So anyway, I was pretty amazed at how fresh these brownies tasted, I wasn't expecting much since they were coming prepackaged from a store, but......
as you can tell, they were moist, yummy, chewy, fudgy, pretty much just like when I bake them at home! And the best part? This.....
is the only cleanup there is! Throw it in the trash, and you're done! No washing pans, spoons, anything (except maybe fingers!).
OK, now here's more exciting news! Pillsbury and MyBlogSpark have teamed up to offer one of you a gift pack just like mine! Yay! All you need to do to enter is either:
1) post a comment to this blog
or
2) post something about this post on facebook and then tell me about it!
Good luck!
The contest ends this Saturday night June 12th, midnight EST.
Edit: Here's a pic of the lovely prize pack you'll be receiving! Woo-Hoo!

OK, I've finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and do meal planning. I KNOW, everyone does it, and it's SO helpful, but hey, what can I say, I thought I didn't like to be "tied down" to one meal on a certain night. But I decided for the rest of this month I'm going to do it, starting today. Which was easy, because today was tacos, lol.
I'm starting with only dinner at first, to kind of ease into it. Breakfast is usually cereal, and lunch is usually sandwiches (I'm so boring!), but once I have my dinner plans down pat I'll change it up to where I plan bf and lunch also. Who knows....
I found this neat-o dry erase board at Wal-Mart that works really well so far (well, until one of the kids erases an entire month of meals at a time, lol!). I wanted one like I saw at a friend from church's house the other day, but I couldn't find one, and I wanted one NOW! When I decide to do something, I have to have the components to do it with immediately, or else I just totally lose interest. It's bad, I know :) So this is what I found:

I love it. I love to write on it. It makes me feel more organized, even though I am TOTALLY NOT. Oh, well, I'm trying!
Adam's mom drove down for the weekend and we had so much fun going all around Kinston, finding little treasures at local stores (and holding our breath at a few!), and just spending time together. I love that the boys got to see their gramma (mee-maw lol), and it was so-o nice being able to talk with another adult during the day! Plus she did my dishes, and my laundry, woo-hoo! I am so blessed to have such a caring and thoughtful mother in law. I feel sorry for women who don't have a good relationship with their MIL. They are really missing out on a lot.
I will end here, because sleep is starting to take over my thoughts. Good night :)

Update: Cookies....yummers!
OK, so remember the cookie recipe using beans I posted about the other day?
Yup. They were good. So good, in fact, that they were gone the same day. I made two and a half dozen. And I didn't even eat most of them! That means they MUST be good, because normally, Anthony won't eat anything with chocolate in it. But HE ate most of these cookies! They were like a fluffy pillowy cloud of chocolate chip yumminess.
Even the dog wanted some! OK, so that's not surprising, he eats cat poop (I know, ew!)
And just because, I'm going to share with you my most favoritest (is that even a word?! aww, who cares!) curtains. I found them at KMart back when we lived in Biloxi, on sale, and I bought three of them. I love finding things on sale! Don't you just love them?! They make me happy every time I look at them.
Oh, and just in case you were wondering, yes, cake does fix everything.
