Button, Button, Who's Got the Button?
So I found this neat service called www.hireahelper.com. Pretty cool! You can search for someone in your area to help you move your stuff, clean your house, mow your lawn, wax your back hairs......ok, maybe not the waxing part, just making sure you're awake! But then again, you never know, it IS the internet.....lol. Anyway, you can either search for someone to help you, or you can sign up to be a "helper". I signed up to be a cleaner and a seamstress, and I even made a shiny new button for my blog! Check it out, it's pretty cool-------->
I know, I rawk. And I'm very po. Speaking of which, that's who Ayden is for halloween! Here's a preview, sorry it's so cruddy, my camera phone sucks.
Silly mama realized as we were leaving for his fall festival, that I THOUGHT was this morning at ten am, that in fact it was TOMORROW morning at ten am. Sigh. So, we just had to go around town in his costume, cause he didn't get all cutied up for nothing!
Well, it's off to bed for me, another Wacky Wednesday down!

Thoughts
Wow, I'm doing pretty good at keeping up with this thing. Yay me!
I attended a really cool seminar today, it was about parental involvement in school. Ayden went with me, and while I went to two sessions of my choosing, he was well cared for by some wonderful ladies, free of charge. The first session I chose was called "We Serve Too", and it was about the specific challenges military children have when dealing with PCSs and deployments and how they affect your child's schoolwork and overall behavior at school. It was actually very eye openeing, and the lady who taught the seminar was very passionate about the subject because she spent her childhood moving from school to school due to AF life, and no one recognised the fact that military children have special circumstances when it comes to moving and making new friends. It got me thinking about my kids, and the challenges and difficulties we will be facing in the next few months. I'm optimistic about it, because I know my kids are resilient. It just hit me tonight, though, that I'm not really mentally prepared for this. Like any big life event, I really have to get into the mindset and be prepared. I tell people, "Oh, yeah, we'll be fine", but in my head, I'm thinking, "What in the world am I thinking? I am scared to death!"
Well, now it's too late to finish and I am exhausted, so I will finish this tomorrow.

What Has Become of ME?
Seriously? I just blogged about dishwasher detergent?! What the.....well, if that doesn't give me a clue that I have turned into a frumpy housewife, I don't know what will. The funny thing is, I was planning on getting back to my regular blogging schedule this week, and guess what I had planned....ANOTHER cleaning product! Ironic, huh. Oh, well, don't care, I'm doing it anyway.
So, for my Worth Your While Wednesday viewing pleasure, I have....dunt duh duh duh.....a really cheap way to make Mr. Clean Magic Erasers! I was at the Dollar Tree earlier this week, and just happened to stumble across this:
which, when you take it out of the bag (duh), looks like this:
only not cut apart, I'm just not smart enough to remember to take pictures of things before I cut them up. ANYWAY, the above photo eventually turned into this:
Yay me! Four Mr. Clean Magic Erasers for a dollar! They are made from the exact same stuff, and they work just as well. So run, don't walk, to Dollar Tree and pick a whole bunch of these up. On a side note, they were not in with the regular cleaning supplies where they should have been, they were on one of those metal racks at the end of the aisle. I don't even remember what aisle, I just know it was NOT the one I would have put them in, but, WHATEVER, I don't work at Dollar Tree.
So there, I blogged about another cleaning product! I don't care, I know my life does NOT revolve around cleaning (just ask Adam, ha ha!), so it doesn't bother me (as much as it did at first). But it's definitely worth your while to check it out.
Oh, and congrats to all my Biloxi friends, enjoy your new Target!!!!

Homemade Dishwasher Detergent
Yes, I can already hear you now. TRUST me. Is she crazy? Does homemade soap actually clean? Is it safe? Is it actually cheaper than just going to the store?
Well.....probably, yes, yes, and yes.
Here's the recipe:
2 parts 20 Mule Team Borax
2 parts Baking Soda
1 part Salt
That's it! I usually put some Dawn on top of the pile in the dishwasher,
just because I'm anal and can't believe that something really cleans without actual soap, but I'm sure that's just my doubting, you don't have to do that if you don't want. And if you do, don't put a lot in there, just maybe a few drops, ask me how I figured THAT out, lol. And of course 'cause I'm just a little neurotic, I made a label for my homemade dish detergent:
I know I'm cool. You don't have to tell me, it's OK. The container is actually one I saved from this:
I knew I would use it for something, it's a cool container. I have a secret (well, not secret anymore, lol) obsession with saving cool containers. I love them, and they're free, since all I paid for is the thing inside the container.
Now this homemade dishwasher detergent is not new, and definitely not my recipe, it is one I found on the internet, but I can't find the link right now. Enjoy, and if you have any questions, ask away!

Questions
What was the last thing you put in your mouth? A homemade granola bar from Raising Olives (yum!).
Can you play Guitar Hero? Not so much.
Name someone who made you laugh today. Ayden and Anthony always make me laugh.
How late did you stay up last night and why? I was up until 2 am, first because I love to be up late, and second I was finishing my Primary lesson for today, that I realized I didn't need when I got to the church at 8:45 this morning (smacks head). I was even EARLY for once! Oh well, next Sunday, lol.....
If you could move somewhere else, would you? I like Goldsboro, and for where we're at right now, base housing is OK. But if we weren't in the military, I would love to buy a house.
Name one thing you love about your body. My eyes.
Which of your friends lives closest to you? It's a toss up between Annie and Kristy....
Do you believe ex's can be friends? Not close ones!
How do you feel about Dr Pepper? Blech!
If you could do any job in the world what would it be? Scientist, writer, nurse, teacher.....I want to do them all!
Who was the last person you took a picture of? One of the kids.
Was yesterday better than today? Yup, so far. Yesterday was really kind of hot, and I guess I was spoiled this week by the cooler weather.
Can you live a day without TV? I could go a long time without TV.
Are you upset about anything? Nope. It's a good day.
Do you think relationships are ever really worth it? Of course! They make life better.
Are you a bad influence? I don't think so.
Night out or night in? Night in.
What items could you not go without during the day? Good Morning Kisses from boys, toothbrush, shower, my laptop.
Who was the last person you visited in the hospital? Well, at Eastertime the kids and I went to the Brian Center to sing I Am A Child of God to people and give them flowers....that's the last time I think I was near a hospital.
What does the last text message in your in-box say? I think it's Bobbie's number-which by the way, I will be calling tomorrow, lol :)
How do you feel about your life right now? Very satisfied.
Do you hate anyone? Hate, no. Strongly dislike, yes.
Do you like your wedding ring or do you secretly wish it was different? I absolutely love my ring. I knew it was the one I wanted as soon as I laid eyes on it, and I'm really glad Adam thought ahead and didn't pick it out himself, instead we went and picked it out together.
Say you were given a drug test right now, would you pass? Ha! Of course.
Would you ever get some plastic surgery? Nope, although it's tempting, it's not natural.
What song is stuck in your head? So....whatcha gonna do, when a little canoe, with a girl swimmin' all a, boy swimmin' all a, girl swimmin' all around.....don't ask, lol
Name something you have to do tomorrow. Take Anthony to school, go to the library, finish up the laundry, wash the comforter the boys just spilled Kool-Aid on...grrr.
Do you think too much or too little? I think too much about things that don't matter, and not enough about things that do.
Do you smile a lot? Some days. Not today, though.
